Had quite the adventure Monday night. After coming home from FHE, the three of us discovered, to our dismay, that we were locked out of our apartment. Our evening consisted of the following:
• Trying to card in with gift cards. No luck.
• Trying to call management. No answer. No emergency number, either.
• Calling 5 different locksmiths. Funny how the 24/7 one wasn’t answering. And that other one connected me to people in India. Huh…
• Getting creative. Called a friend from Provo who graciously went to his house and got a ladder, then watched as he and another friend took turns climbing up to our third story apartment and attempted to open windows that are usually unlocked. Ahem…Brittney…Oh, and somewhere in there we made a Dairy Queen run.
• Giving up and calling a locksmith that was actually available. Amazing! I think we gave him the most enthusiastic welcome he’s ever received. We shared our Sweet Tarts with him, too.
Nearly three hours and $55 dollars later we were back in our apartment! Hooray! Not a typical Monday night and not so great for getting homework done, but a lovely adventure nonetheless.
